The new smart battery control function optimally adapts battery charge and discharge performance to the power consumed in the home and depending on the PV energy production. This helps to largely prevent issues such as limitation loss (70 % rule, KfW 50 %). The integrated load and generation forecast ensures optimum usage of generated energy through simple power storage. The self-teaching software anticipates the load patterns of customers and compares them with the yields of the photovoltaic system. This results in optimised battery charging, so that the excess energy can almost always be stored.
Our PIKO BA can also completely do without online weather data as the system learns independently and also draws on information from weather forecasts autonomously. As a result, the charge and discharge times of the PIKO BA System are adapted perfectly to both the user’s home and the weather conditions. Smart energy control can be easily installed as a software update.
