EEBus for Standardized and Improved Energy Management

With the integration of EEBus, the PLENTICORE G3 by KOSTAL opens new paths for efficient communication and control of energy flows. The inverter now provides real-time data for monitoring, allowing adjustments to be made and optimizing energy consumption.

Besides monitoring functions, the inverter can also be controlled by external energy management systems, promoting intelligent and flexible energy management. Thus, EEBus communication makes energy management more efficient and adaptable to user needs.

Cost Savings through Dynamic Electricity Tariffs

With the latest software update, the PLENTICORE G3 can now also use dynamic electricity tariffs to optimize battery charging and minimize electricity costs. This feature allows, for example, charging the battery during the most cost-effective tariff times, which can save costs.
This link between KOSTAL inverters and the use of dynamic electricity tariffs provides a practical solution to enhance the cost-effectiveness of energy supply without compromising energy security.

Extended Battery Settings for Backup Operation

The PLENTICORE G3 now also offers extended battery settings with the update, enabling optimized backup operation. This includes the "Alternative Times" setting for the minimum battery state of charge (SoC), which reserves more capacity, especially during the winter months.
Additionally, during backup operation, the storage is specifically discharged to a defined SoC and then charged to a starting SoC before backup operation continues. For situations where immediate battery use is necessary, the option to turn off battery sleep mode is also available.

Integrated Coupling Switch for Enhanced Safety

The PLENTICORE G3 is now equipped with an internal coupling switch function, adding extra safety by automatically disconnecting the inverter from the grid when network conditions require it. This feature is especially important for responding quickly to changes in the network and protecting the installation.
The central NA protection triggers the disconnection when needed, ensuring safe and reliable operation under all conditions. This safety feature is a crucial advantage for grid integration and hardware protection.

Modernized Web Design for Intuitive Operation

KOSTAL has thoroughly modernized the web design of the PLENTICORE G3 to ensure even better user-friendliness. The new design is not only visually appealing but also functionally well-thought-out.
The menu structure has been revised and placed at the top of the web server for quick access to language selection, settings, and notifications. Particularly, the optimized display for mobile devices makes monitoring and operating the PV system simple and effective on the go.

How the New Software Update is Applied to the Inverter

With the KOSTAL AutoUpdate, the PLENTICORE inverter is always automatically updated to the latest version – without the need for manual intervention by the plant operator. Once activated, the latest software is automatically installed on the device when an internet connection is available.
